Abstract

Flour yield and baking quality of six spring wheats sown in three environments.
The objective of the study was to determine the effect of cultivar and environment on test weight, protein content, SDS-sedimentation volume and flour yield in six cultivars of spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Ciko, Dalcahue, Domo, Huayún, Opala, and Tamoi cultivars were sown at locations at San Clemente, Santa Rosa and Humán during the 1997-1998 season, using a randomized complete block design with four replicates. Differences among treatments were determined with the test of significant minimum differences (DMS) with 95% confidence. Cultivar and environments significantly affected flour yield, test weight, protein content and SDS-sedimentation volume.
