Present status of conservation of the genus Nothofagus in Chile

Abstract

This paper gives a general overview of the genus Nothofagus throughout the world and then describes the specific situation in Chile, with special emphasis upon the range of distribution of the different species and their presence and ecological representation in the National System of State Protected Wildlands.
