Application of sawdust from the forest industry in order to improve soils

Abstract
By studying the feasability of using various forest- industry residues for soil improvement, it can be concluded that sawdust improves the water regime in soils with extremely sandy or extremely clayey textures. Sawdust additions also contribute to the dynamics of nutrients, thereby enhancing their availability.
