Abstract

V.O.T. values for consonants /b-d-g/ and /p-t-k/ obtained in an experimental study on Valdivian Spanish from individuals with a high educational background are presented. The behavior of this acoustic feature is then analyzed in two phonetical contexts in order to assess a possible V.O.T. variation and an attempt is made to establish a possible constant relation between the V.O.T. values for every pair of phonemes having the same articulation point.
