Abstract

This paper makes a critical legal analysis of the proposed bill on the protection of people’s privacy and honor. It begins with a description of the limits of the protected rights and also of the rights of freedom of opinion and information, with which privacy and the protection of honor may conflict. Also, the paper reviews comparative law developments aimed at successfully dealing with the tensions and conflicts between the above mentioned rights. Finally, proposals are made to improve the bill.
