Un estudio en liceos de la Región Metropolitana

Resumen

La confianza de los estudiantes en sus docentes incide tanto en aspectos académicos como en el bienestar subjetivo y la generación de culturas positivas, adquiriendo especial relevancia en crisis como la pandemia por COVID-19. El objetivo del estudio fue indagar en su configuración, explorando en los factores que inciden en su generación y erosión. Se empleó un diseño metodológico mixto, que contempló una encuesta a 1267 estudiantes y entrevistas de incidentes críticos a 25 estudiantes. Se pesquisó un alto nivel de confianza de los estudiantes en sus docentes, siendo aún mayor entre la población con mayor vulnerabilidad socioeconómica. Los estudiantes refieren a incidentes de ganancia de confianza, los que tienden a sustentarse en situaciones que aluden a tres facetas de la confianza: benevolencia, apertura y competencia. Durante la pandemia, fundamental fue la benevolencia, entendida como la preocupación expresada por sus docentes por la situación psico-emocional y académica de los estudiantes.
