Abstract

The article, The Body in Physical Education Defines Thought: Perspectives on Corporal Education, arises out of the investigation of documentary theory encompassed by the four traditions which have characterized the thought of Physical Education in Colombia and which have determined the configuration of educational discourse on the body, and therefore, of corporal subjectivity. In this way a reflective space opens on Corporal Education which allows for the problematization of perspectives on the body in Physical Education, looking to challenge those who think it is simply a matter of training the body from a perspective which omits a conception of a fragmented body to become familiar with ignored parts of the body in Physical Education which ask for a new perspective on corporality in Education.
