Superior Education, mechanisms of insurance of the quality and teachers formation: a hanging debate in Chile

Abstract
The essay presents academic impressions on the mechanisms of insurance of the quality of the college Education, by means of the historical analysis of the university regulation and the conceptualization of the evaluative approaches in the matter. Besides, reports the experiences lived by the author, as Coordinator’s role of the process of Autoevaluation of Master Program in Education, Political and Management mention of the Austral University of Chile before the National Commission of Accreditation of Post degree, stopping in the practical and theoretical implications of the process. Finally, concludes with some exploratory reflections on the teachers’ initial and training formation and the hanging challenges in the academic national debate.
