Theoretical and methodological conceptions for the implementation of a pedagogic model for the development of values in university students

Abstract

The paper presents the results of an investigation carried out to determine a pedagogic model, supported on contemporary theoretical and scientific bases that contribute to the development of the value professional responsibility in university students of Sciences and Engineering. 
This model has been applied successfully in subjects and disciplines taught in the Universidad Austral de Chile and in the Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría from Cuba. Because of its generalizing character it is possible to apply it in other university areas, provided it is adapted to the peculiar characteristics of the different areas of the knowledge.
