Abstract
A construct validity of the Teaching Vocation Questionnaire for Pedagogy Students (CVD-E) is presented. 462 first-year pedagogy students participated, 63% of whom were women and 36% men, aged between 18 and 25 years. The instrument used was the teacher vocation questionnaire for pedagogy students, which has 5 dimensions plus a truth scale, and has achieved a good level of reliability (Cronbach’s alpha of 0.83). Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis was used for data analysis, as well as correlational and regression analyzes with other instruments. The results indicate good levels of reliability of the instrument in general and of its dimensions, as well as good fit indicators for four dimensions that support the instrument; good indicators of correlation between the dimensions are observed, as well as strong relationships with other instruments. It is concluded that the CVD-E presents an adequate internal reliability, and good indicators of convergent validity.
