Abstract

The aim of this systematic review is to report on the work done on teachers’ and students’ conceptions of science and gender in science teaching. For this purpose, a search was conducted in the main collection of Web of Science (WoS), limited to the last 10 years. Inclusion and exclusion criteria for the selection of articles were expanded to include that they were empirical in nature. Among the main findings, it was found that the attitudes of teachers and students, as well as the conceptions of teachers, can limit learning opportunities and affect female participation in scientific fields.
