Educational Innovation in higher education: Achievements and difficulties in the implementation of innovative strategies

Abstract
Using case study methodology, this research describes the implementation of educational innovations by four innovative educators at Universidad Andrés Bello (UNAB). In-depth interviews were conducted to explore the activities, achievements, and difficulties faced by the educators during the implementation of their educational innovation. Data gathered were analysed with the software Dedoose. It is concluded that, in general terms, the innovative strategies enhance autonomous learning and motivation, they face difficulties due to traditional methods and a lack of resources. In addition, their sustainability requires greater institutional support and specific roles to ensure long-term effectiveness.
